The Un-Accessioned Archivist

Welcome to the Un-Accessioned Archivist. As an Archivist myself, I have a lot of thoughts about the sector, the profession and the way it works. This is a place for me to write down those thoughts and say what I think without fear of professional repercussions.

I love archives and believe that archives should be available to anyone who wants to use them at any time for any reason. The sector has come a long way in the 20 years I’ve been working, but there is still so far to go.

Making this blog anonymous was not an easy decision but I do not believe the sector is in a place where discussions take place without judgement. I hope this blog can provide a space where some discussion can take place, even if that is with unknown peers.

All views on this blog are my own (Easy to say when you’re anonymous!) and I am more than happy to engage in debate in the comments section – assuming conversation stays civil at all times.

If you would like to write a feature blog (anonymously then leave a comment and we can connect.
